The Cows

On the way back down from Elsigenalp we encountered cows on the way to their winter barn. I think these pictures give a way better idea of what they're like. The bells are HUGE and soooo loud. We had to step to the edge of the road (mind you it dropped off the side of a mountain on the edge) to let them through. The bells were deafening and one cow almost knocked me off the side of the mountain. But it was well worth it. I giggled for five minutes as they passed. It's very delightful. Especially when they have their flowers on.

Loved the cows with their flowers and huge bells. The country is wonderful what great flora and fauna. You must do a video of you singing the Hills are alive with the sound of music. It looks just as I had imagined. Keep the good stuff coming. Love you Diane

I'm not good at this blogging thing....I'll try again. I am so glad you sent pictures of the cows. This was one of my favorite stories of going to Switzerland. The bigger the bell the more milk the cow gives. Don't you just love Switzerland, it is so beautiful. I'm so glad you are there and having such a wonderful time. I love you! Patti
