Adelboden

Our first day off, we conquered the town of Adelboden. It's a nice little dorf (village in Swiss German). Lots of little shops and WONDERFUL bakeries. I didn't feel so bad eating some sweets, and by sweets I mean chocolate, because of the walk there. We go straight down and then straight back up. It's rough, but worth it.

The staff gave us a scavenger hunt, and we failed miserably. But I did manage to achieve two things that required photos - climbing the fountain in the town square and taking a picture of one of the many public toilets. They don't require toilets in all the restaurants, which I think should be a standard rule worldwide. But I don't rule the world now do I.

It was a lovely day with lovely weather. And I'm sure I will spend lots more time there in the coming months.

Oh and they have hamburger buns in the Coop. So I may be able to satisfy my cheeseburger cravings while I'm here!

I wonder if you'll spend your entire working life starting a job by going on a scavenger hunt...? It seems to be a pattern.
