Elsigenalp

I conquered my first big mountain yesterday. Andrea, Louisa, and I (oh wait - you don't know them - they're two of my fellow Autumn Volunteers) trekked up to Elsigenalp. We walked pretty much nonstop for 7 hours - only breaking occasionally. It was steep and intense. But I did it!!

We saw lots of waterfalls

Travelled through the cow pastures.

Circled a beautiful (manmade) lake.

And then decided to keep going to Elsighorn (7680 ft). We didn't quite make it to the peak because the clouds/fog were way too thick to see where we were going. We were very close, but turned back for safety's sake.

I was still happy with what I did anyway. It was quite a feat. I was moving slowly, but did not stop. And I was not sore today!

As you might can tell, I'm a bit worn out and therefore not writing in too much detail. I may go back later this week and fill in some of these posts. But things will calm down a bit now that we're getting into the routine swing of things, so I will probably be able to elaborate more on things. If not - the pictures will have to do. :)
